There are so many names and words and numbers scratched and carved into the stone fabric of Ely Cathedral.  I wonder what stories and messages they hold.  I love the elusiveness of the messages and the sense of the presence and the absence of people who have passed through the Cathedral and left their mark in one way or another.  This oil and cold wax painting is on cradled panel and set in a painted tray frame, overall size 23x18cm.
