This small painting features ancient lines and intricate details from a landscape to draw you in. Created using a combination of oils and cold wax painting techniques, layering, incising, scraping away and relayering to create rich textures, with suggestions of lichen and moss on the rock surface.  The effects of time on a landscape is so pertinent now, cracks can offer shelter for life and a potential for co-existance, but can also make a surface vulnerable to disintegration.
