One of a series of paintings inspired by wonderful rock formations in Guanacaste coastal region of Costa Rica, where I have spent many happy and soothing times where the sea meets the land, exploring the fabulous lines in the rock surfaces that have evolved and changed over the centuries. The lines in this oil and cold wax painting have both been teased out from the textured layers, and incised into the layers.
