Inspired by wonderful rock formations in the Guanacaste coastal region of Costa Rica, using oils mixed with cold wax to build up layers and texture, like the way the rocks and lines form over time, witness to people and wildlife passing through.  Oils and cold wax on cradled panel, set in a white painted tray frame, overall size 53 x 53cm.
Selected for the Royal Society of Marine Artists it will be on show at The Mall Galleries, London from 19-28 Sept 2024..
And it was one of only 78 paintings selected out of 839 entries to the www.coldwaxacademy.com 1st Juried Exhibition in June 2024.
