Oil and cold wax on cradled panel, set in a white tray frame, overall size 64 x 64cm.

In “Shifting Encounters” I consider how change is constant along shorelines, where natural forces cause elements to fracture and re-settle, debris and small pebbles to be held in cracks and crevices, and traces left from relentless waves and variable weather, and our landscape shifts and reshapes.

In a time of environmental uncertainty and rapid change, my work offers a space to slow down and pay close attention to the textures and transformations shaping the coastline and how these link to our own experiences of change and internal landscapes, and our relationship with our living planet.
