I am interested in the different impacts of human intervention in the land, constrictive and reparative. 2km of the River Stiffkey was recently “re-wiggled” after its straightening in the 1700’s.  This oil and cold wax painting with chalk is a semi-abstract interpretation of human made boundaries and constructions loosely based on original maps, lines and grids, where interventions have had direct impact on the natural course of nature.
