There are so many names  and words and numbers scratched and carved into the stone fabric of the Cathedral.  I wonder what stories and messages they hold.  I love the elusiveness of the messages and the sense of the presence and the absence of people who have passed through the Cathedral and left their mark in one way or another.  This oil and cold wax painting is on cradled panel and set in a painted tray frame, overall size 18x23cm.  It will be exhibited in Ely Cathedral as part of the OuseLife exhibition "After The Fall' from 27th April to 29th May 2022, where it will be available for sale.
