Where the sea meets the land, the rock formations shift and change, fracture and settle, the surface lines holding history.  Evolving over deep time, coastal geological strata undergo extreme processes of change and transformation, emerging as they are today, and their movement continues.

I aim to capture the sense of fragility and resilience, movement and solidity, loss and transformation of these shifting landscapes through my layering of oil and cold wax medium, building texture and creating surface details through my process.
